I guess you could call me a late bloomer.  I went back to school after the birth of my sons and in my final year of college, took a photography class for the fun of it.  I became hooked on learning all there was to know about photography.  I’ve taken many classes and workshops since that first class with the most inspiring teachers, such as Peter Reiss and Bobbie Lane at UCLA and Joyce Tenneyson, Maggie Stieber and Keith Carter at the Santa Fe Photographic Workshop.  In 2000 I went on an American Photo Magazine Photo Trek to Morocco with mentors Wolfgang Kaheler and Jill Enfield.  I’ve been greatly influenced by these incredible artists.

I shoot mainly in black and white using 35mm format, medium format, and the wonderful, unpredictable plastic Holga camera.  I hand-color some of my work.

I’ve had three gallery shows at A Studio Gallery in Los Angeles, and have also participated in group shows at the gallery.  I’ve photographed various musicians and have had my photos published in magazines, and newspapers.  I’ve marketed two calendars , a series of hand-made stationary cards, and a series of Christmas cards, starring three of  my Doberman Pinchers.

I’m a member the 4260 Black & White Photographers Guild.
